24 hour art marathon weekend was wicked. I had so much awesome sleep deprived fun. I didn't enter after but I was volunteering and I got to be creative just the same. So without further adeu I shall begin the run on sentence now:
did a little drawing and painting[1] Hung out with a lot of my favorite people, met a lot of cool new people, saw lots of awesome art, had my meat read, got a little further in my studies of the Tarrot[2], spun a little fire, heard some good music, saw a half naked dancing covered in molassis[3] taught somebody to juggle, hung out with my favorite and extremely talented cousin[4] who I never see anymore, became a shining beacon of justice and not bringing your beer bottles outside, saw a fist fight on George street, helped run an auction while trying to stay awake after more than 24 hours without sleep, and danced with the hottest girl I know.
The art marathon is my New Years. I guess it is my intelectual and creative New Years When it rolls around everything I have been woking on all year is over, and new things begin. Plus staying out all night with over tired or drunk(or both) artists. I look forward to it every year. It always marks something special for me, and it is an awesome way to end the summer.
So what is the universe going to show me now?
[1]I highly enjoy painting, but I'm not that good at it. I'm better at drawing than I am at Painting and im only ok at drawing. I do however plan on remedying this with practice and hopefully classes at some point.
[2] Im currently looking at the horsemen. By the horsemen I mean the 4 knights, the Sun and the 6 of wands. I made a lot of progress with my studies, but I will write about my it later.
[3] I liked Jills quote about this act. "It may have been art, but you're cleaning it up now!"
[4] I really wanted to bid on his piece, but it quickly went out of my price range.
